Sourcing Manager Location : Portadown

Reporting to the Head of Sourcing, the successful candidate will be required to support the business’ strategic procurement activities, including the evaluation of existing and new suppliers, and reviewing product offerings across multiple categories of product and spend levels.

  • Research and analysis of products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery and quality.
  • Analyse current price trends and levels of demand, and forecast future activities and trends.
  • Liaise between suppliers, relevant internal departments and customers.
  • Maintain and develop strategic relationships with new and existing suppliers.
  • Maintain the Company’s approved supplier list and reduce spend through non-preferred suppliers.
  • Identify and deliver savings initiatives from leveraging spend across sites.
  • Ensure relevant parties are aware of business objectives through the purchasing strategy.
  • Identify and introduce performance improvement measures both internally and externally.
  • Produce statistical reports on market analysis and growth opportunities.
  • Meet and succeed business KPI’s set against the purchasing department.
  • Produce internal monthly reports monitoring financial performance.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders on any additional ad-hoc projects within the purchasing department.
  • Experience within a purchasing role, preferably within a merchant or retail environment.  Consideration will be given to those outside the sector where relevant experience is proven.
  • Demonstrate the ability to gather and analyse data, and provide recommendations based on findings.
  • Commercially aware of market dynamics.
  • A strong team player; energetic, self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative with the ability to make decisions based on their own analysis and judgement.
  • Possess a high competency level in MS office applications, and other business systems.
